Ambassador Samantha Power Urges Young Women of Barnard College to Fight for True Equality

Do you long for true equality in our world? Watch Ambassador Samantha Power, the U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations, address this issue in her commencement speech to Barnard College graduates that she gave last Sunday in New York City.

“True equality will not mean shedding our doubts or self-awareness, but rather not letting them quiet us down when we should be speaking up,” she says. “It is not enough to find our own voices. True equality also requires that we learn to hear and lift up the voices of those whom others choose not to hear.”

It’s an awesome, powerful speech. Watch the video to get inspired and share your comments below. #FindYourVoice
