TEDxDelthorneWomen, One of My Highlights of the Year!

TEDxDelthorneWomen, December 4, 2021. El Segundo, CA.

They DID IT!!! I couldn’t be more proud. Giving a TEDx talk was a dream come true for many of the speakers. And now the videos of their talks are LIVE.

Coaching this amazing line-up of TEDx speakers for TEDxDelthorneWomen was a highlight of 2021 for me. I was so honored to be a part of one of the most racially and culturally diverse TEDx events in the country.

The speakers gave talks ranging from how to create racial equity in the workplace, to healing generational trauma, to how to embody revolutionary self-love. You can access the full library of talks here.

One of the speakers said she was so excited that it took weeks for her mind and body to digest that this talk was happening. She said she would literally wake up in the middle of the night in a panic and scream ARE YOU FUCKING FOR REAL at least three times a week.

In addition to giving their talks, the other huge win for the group was the sisterhood that was created in just a few short months.

Big shout out to TEDxDelthorneWomen Executive Producer, Curator and Host, Sonali Fiske, who created the environment for this sisterhood to bloom. “Only in an environment of pure loving support and genuine enthusiasm and dedication to amplifying the voices of BIWOC voices could this type of magic happen,” shared one of the speakers.

Here are the beautiful speakers

Top row, (L) to (R): Princess Sarah Culberson, Julie Weiss, Dr. Izdihar Jamil, Ariana Delawari. Middle row, (L) to (R): Mahlikah Awe:ri, Channdika Thayver, Trish Hosein, Aiko Smith. Bottom row, (L) to (R): Cassandra Le, Nadia Payan, Jelan Agnew, Kim Guerra.

I am so proud of these speakers and how they are showing up in the world — with love, courage, conviction, and majesty. I know you will be moved, inspired, and changed by listening to their talks.

I also want to honor Eraina Ferguson today, who, four years ago, founded TEDxDelthorneWomen in the spirit of amplifying diverse voices. This event is a dream come true for so many of us. It’s the reason I got into speaker coaching in the first place.

Get inspired & spread the Love! ❤️

Thank you for being a part of this community of changemakers. Together, we rise. In sisterhood, we thrive!
